February 19 Update
> Bro. Chuck is still in Haiti. His flight was cancelled early this morning. Pastor Deborah Blythe quickly contacted our travel agent and by a miracle, Bro. Chuck was able to catch a flight on another plane and reach Miami. It was then on to Wilmington, NC. Travel took all day and he did not arrive until 11 p.m.!
February 13 Update
> Bro. Chuck is still in Haiti. His flight out on the 16th has been cancelled and rescheduled for the 19th. Please pray concerning his flight.
> Bro. Chuck has been to the LaColine church sight and it too has been destroyed. Madame Renee is also without housing. The remarkable thing about the people here is how after the quake, with no food or shelter, they made it a priority to put together some scrap tin and palm leaves to make a sanctuary to worship in :-) It may seem "makeshift" but God will richly bless them for putting Him first. We will be working in this area to help rebuild the church and Madame Renee housing.
February 6 Update
> Bro. Chuck reports that the Jesus Way church located at LaColline was destroyed but there were no injuries.
>There are about 300 families, members of Pastor Jean Claude's church near PAP, that are homeless and have not received any aid from the relief effort. Bro. Chuck has purchased enough food to feed 700 people for one week. The food will be cooked and distributed to the church members, children and others in the area.
> Bro Chuck believes the new orphanage building can be repaired.
February 5 Update
> Pastor Jean Claude and Bro. Chuck Blythe went to Fond Blanc to see the children. It was an all day trip. There was no apparent damage to the church there and the children were fine. The children have food and shelter. Tomorrow he will check the new orphanage building and the church in LaColline.
